Kings XI Punjab vs Delhi Daredevils - IPL Season 3 - Match 3 Live Scorecard Click here The Punjabi Tadka meets Dil waalon ki Dilli today in the 3rd Match in Mohali. With the current situation as it is, it seems that Delhi holds a fair bit of advantage over Kings XI due to the no. of injuries that have hit the Punjab team. The problem with Punjab would be the absence of Brett Lee and Yuvraj Singh due to injuries but what they need to overcome is the failure of their Indian players batting and bowling performances. They should be ready to do it under the new Captain Kumara Sangakkara and will try to give Delhi a run for their money. On the other hand, Delhi Daredevils under the new leadership of Gautham Gambhir, seems to be a rejuvenated lot and would try to better the head to head collision record of 1-3 against Kings XI. Delhi has won the toss and they are going to have a bowl. Squads: Kings XI Punjab: (from) Kumara... details >>>

Abu Dhabi: Legendary cricketers Steve Waugh and Ian Botham adjured the athletes worldwide to not let terrorism affect sport anywhere in the world including India, which is set to host the extremely popular IPL and Commonwealth Games later this year. Waugh, the two-time World Cup winning Australian captain said the terror attacks on Sri Lankan cricket team in Pakistan last year has changed the safety perception of the players but was of the view that players should not surrender to terrorism by skipping sport events. "Sportspersons are more concerned now a days. Earlier they used to feel they are safe but in the last couple of years that perception has changed because of the way the Sri Lankan players were attacked in Pakistan. The entire landscape has changed but as sportspersons, we shouldn't give in to terrorism and must travel to play the game". Ian Botham, former England all-rounder, also echoed similar views, saying, "We got to take a stand.... details >>>

Muralidaran has forgiven John Howard for calling him a chucker but says the former prime minister faces a challenge to win over the subcontinent when he assumes the post of International Cricket Council president in 2012. The veteran Sri Lankan off-spinner, who has taken more wickets than any player, infamously refused to tour Australia with Sri Lanka in 2004 after having his action questioned by Howard and having previously been the subject of ''no-ball'' chants from Australian crowds. The then prime minister had been asked at a function whether Muralidaran threw the ball and replied: ''Yes. They proved it in Perth too, with that thing'', a reference to scientific analysis at the University of Western Australia. Muralidaran, 37, said his feud with Howard was ''all finished'' but noted that the subcontinent and all-important Asian bloc of the ICC may need more convincing. ''At the time I thought it was wrong - that was my opinion and he had his... details >>>

A famous football like incidence belongs to this day, after winning the match Flintoff removed his T-Shirt and waved it towards the crowd as footballers do after kicking a goal. This Day That Year – 1st Match – ODI against England. It was a 6th match of ODI series and England won it by margin of 5 runs. Flintoff delighted his team-mates by ripping off his shirt in celebration after he bowled Srinath to tie the series. It was his third wicket, and he earned the man of the match award after nursing England's faltering innings through its last 20 overs. Trescothick finished the series as he began it, mangling the seamers' figures in a majestic 95 from 80 balls. But after England collapsed against Harbhajan to a quixotic 174 for seven from 30 overs, it was Flintoff who helped to retrieve the situation, adding 37 with last man Gough. A target of 256 appeared all too attainable as Ganguly creamed four sixes in his 80. Then Giles enjoyed a brief flashback... details >>>

Hobart: Aussie captain Ricky Ponting's theory that the summer's meagre one-day crowds are due to a glut of matches, rather than the poor performances of Pakistan and the West Indies, has been given short shrift by Cricket Australia. Just 15,538 were at the MCG on Friday night to watch Australia confirm its unbeaten summer in Tests and one-day internationals by thrashing the West Indies by 125 runs. That was 39 per cent lower than the 25,463 that attended the ground for the first match of the West Indies series a fortnight ago. Ponting rejected the suggestion Australia's 9-0 whitewash of the touring teams was the primary reason so few supporters attended the one-day series. ''I'm not sure if the lack of contest had anything to do with it at all to tell the truth. I just think that we've played a whole lot. Look at all the days of cricket the public have had to pay and go and watch during the summer. I think that's probably the reason why the numbers have... details >>>

Karachi: - All time great Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram said on Monday that Pakistan needed a passionate and wise coach to rescue the team after humiliating defeats in Australia. "What Pakistan needs is a passionate coach who is more involved with the boys and can form an effective strategy for the team," Wasim told reporters. "A good coach, foreign or local, with a high energy level is needed in modern cricket." This comment from Akram came after Pakistan lost the Test as well as ODI series against Australia in a very humiliating manner, they were whitewashed in both formats of the game. Chief selector Iqbal Qasim resigned and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formed a committee to investigate the reasons for the humiliating defeats. Coach Intikhab Alam and wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal were left out of the 14-man squad for two Twenty20 matches against England in Dubai on February 19 and 20.
