Best Profiles allows automatic profiles switching according to your schedule, calendar or GSM cell location. For each profile Best Profiles allows selection of additional settings such as: backlight, sound on activate, run custom application etc. Any user of a Nokia smartphone had experienced the following situations: while in the office, meeting or dinner suddenly your phone disturbs you. The little brother of the N97 sure seems to be getting a lot more loving. Earlier today, the GSMA announced that the Nokia N97 Mini had won their award for “Best Mobile Handset“. I had a play with one at the Nokia N-Tourage N97 Mini launch in Bangalore, and it definitely felt and worked a lot better than the ol’N97. Nokia has launched the N97 Mini in India today, with a two day event called the “N-Tour-age” (get it ? Sounds like ‘Entourage’ ? Ha). As you might already know, the N97 ‘Mini’, is the smaller brother of the Original N97. The Mini being smaller, with just 8GB of memory (vs the 32GB on the N97), a slightly smaller 3.2″ screen (vs the 3.5″ of the original) and 250mb of internal phone memory which should solve the phone memory problems that plagued the Original N97. Today was the launch event in Delhi, and tomorrow’s the second launch event in Bangalore (which we will be attending). The event is also a a focused group interaction with Mr. Jonne Harju, Senior Design Manager at Nokia Design Studio. Things have been a little hectic for me lately, but that will not stop me for bringing you the N97 Mini unboxing, filmed in Helsinki on the first day of ‘The Way We Live Next 3.0′ event. The video is divided into two parts, the first is a good old unboxing and the second is a N97 Mini overview and comparison with the N97. If I sound a little tired, it is because of all the interview and demoes that I had earlier in the day. Stay tuned for a lot of ‘TWWLN‘ content in the coming days.
