Those who want to hang up their business suits and park the commuter car in the garage permanently can take heart. Work from home jobs have increased exponentially in the last decade. Thousands are giving up the rat-race for a five-second commute from the breakfast nook to the home office. By 9 a.m., most workers have fought an hour of traffic to arrive at the office. In contrast, the telecommuter already has completed at least an eighth of his workday.Internet technology has allowed working from home to become a viable option for many Americans. You're unemployed and wondering how to make money because unemployment benefits don't cover your expenses; job search is long and discouraging; you find employers, but they are not calling you for an interview, and jobs resources are often paid memberships that you can't justify paying for. What to do!  many of you ultimately occupy yourself with something other than thinking about money and work.  Sometimes this is productive and sometimes it's counterproductive.  On Twitter, I've seen posts saying they are dreading filling out their unemployment benefits questionnaire so they can get paid.  Kind of self-destructive thinking... I can relate.  Been there.  The trick is to focus your mind where the GOLD is.  This is a trick!  How do you stay afloat, pay the bills, perhaps take a rest from stress at work, avoid unemployment stress, take care of the family, and the list goes on.... First, don't give up on yourself or on the possibilities that are available... details >>>

Boost your job hunting prospects   Social networking sites are now used by one on three employers to connect with potential recruits. Which means that it's no longer just a case of what you know but how you promote yourself on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn that will give you the upper hand in today's tough jobs market.   According to research from recruitment specialist Harvey Nash and the Department for Work and Pensions, half of employers believe that if candidates invest time in developing a strong online brand using social networks and networking, they are more likely to be hired.   "Employers are increasingly looking for new recruits who have a strong online brand," says social networking expert Dan Rutherford.   "A good place to start is with your Facebook profile.
