Sort of. While the dream of personally presenting the POTUS on the White House lawn with a slightly used Enertia powercycle bearing a lovingly-painted "Yes We Can" motto and an American flag may have fallen somewhat short, the pair has opted for a plan B C D E that can't possibly fail. Somewhere in the wilds of Washington they have chained one of their bikes to a pole and have mailed Mr. Obama the keys to both padlock and bike along with a letter explaining themselves. Filed under: EV/Plug-in , On Two Wheels Zero Motorcycles and the Consumer Product Safety Commission have issued a voluntary recall notice for all 2009 Zero X and Zero MX electric motorcycles. Apparently, the problem surrounds the bike's throttle assembly, which can reportedly become disconnected or get stuck in the wide-open position. Either way, that can potentially be very dangerous to the rider. According to the recall notice, some 200 bikes built between December of 2008 and August of are affected, and Zero reports that it has received three notices of unintended acceleration. Thankfully, no serious injuries have so far been reported. Fixing the problem involves replacing the bike's handlebar-mounted digital dashboard, which is expected to take 10 to 15 minutes per bike.
