Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is third most powerful man, the Vatican Pope Benedict XVI is the 11th most powerful, Mike Duke (Wal-Mart CEO) is the 8th most powerful and media superstar Oprah Winfrey the 45th most powerful. Forbes compiled the list of World's Most Powerful People for the first time. The editors were asked to compile based on their studies if the person can influence others, the financial resources he can have control on and also studied if a person was powerful in several spheres.
