Survivor: Samoa Preview - Survivor: Samoa is the newest incarnation of the long-running CBS reality television series, Survivor. This is the 19th competition for Survivor and this cycle's competition airs on CBS beginning Thursday, September 17, 2009. Jeff Probst continues to host this popular show. This year, Survivor Samoa takes 18-20 finalists to the remote beaches and jungles of the South Pacific island nation. The finalists will be set down in Samoa for 39 days where they will compete in reward and elimination competitions for a $1 Million cash prize. There are several small islands that are part of the Samoa nation, which means more opportunities for an Exile Island and new twists to this particular competition cycle.
