Название коллектива означало номер справки, которую должны были заполнять британские безработные. Первые полгода участники проекта провели в подвале, осваивая инструменты и пытаясь копировать стиль своих любимчиков Грегори Айзека и Бима Шермана. С февраля 1979-го "UB-40" начали давать концерты, а через полгода сподобились записать первое демо. Тут не обошлось без вездесуще... http://sunny-music.ru/2008/06/09/ub-40/
