I not only had the remote connected, but put new batteries in the nunchuck and when that didn't work I bought a new remote and connected it to the nunchuck. No luck. the same prompt appears every time. Yes, I pushed the red sync buttons on the wii-mote and the console at the same time. I also returned the original game and got a new one. No luck.
