I've Just Been Diagnosed With Pityriasis Rosea (christmas Tree Rash), Is It Contagious?

I went to the urgent care clinic this weekend for some pink spots that have been appearing on my torso, neck, and back. The doctor said it wasn't contagious but I'm reading up on it, and most sources (I will not look at WebMD anymore for this reason "It usually occurs in children, pregnant women, and blacks"...See my point) and some say that it is contagious and others say it is not.
